Curating

As an art historian and curator of contemporary art, I am always interested in the relationship of past and present, how media develop and evolve and how artists often return to themes and materials that previous generations thought they had exhausted. Art is limitless.

Audiences

The audience is the observer, the participant and the co-creator.

A world of art

I am particularly interested in taking a global approach to art and art history.

Home

As a curator, I am invigorated and inspired by artists that push the boundaries of their skill and vision to make an emotional, visceral connection with the audience.
Underpinning that is a cerebral, craft-based commitment to excellence and quality. Ideas and concepts should be intuitive and apprehensible and do not require spelling out.
Classical art, as well as art from around the world, both current and historical, never cease to inspire me. I enjoy art that adapts or challenges existing art forms, revives the archaic, or continues ancient and eternal traditions in new ways.
I’m always looking for new and risky exhibition ideas. Much of my work as a curator has been about reinvigorating spaces with art and investigating how art might be present in our daily lives.
I am always interested in meeting artists, collectives and organisations who wish to work with me.
