I started curating film programmes when I finished film school and ran various pop up cinema/screening manifestations in London and Berlin and elsewhere. My most recent role was a producer and programmer of the #TimetoAct film festival, organised by the Foreign and Colonial Office with the BFI in Nov 2018.
As a filmmaker and curator, I combine my interest in cinema and fine art. Interested in Humanities, since I majored in History and Literature (Drama) with a minor in Philosophy, I later studied Filmmaking and began to work as a filmmaker in art film, factual and documentary.
II did a Studio Master of Fine Art: on the subject of site-specific art and the question of "documentation into art: documenting ephemeral and site-specific work." My Master's thesis was the exhibition The Derelict Sensation, together with a written thesis that formed the basis of http://www.sitespecificart.org.uk and a series of short films collected together as Black Moon RIsing: La Luna Nera.
I work on the relationship between art (particular painting and art history) and cinema, publishing books and curating projects. Film curating, screenings, workshops and more.
II teach film and media at the University for the Creative Arts and have taught at Central St Martins, SAE and Roehampton. I've lectured at the National Gallery in London and I developed a masterclass for the National Film and Television School.
